Sep 5, 2010 - @xmasterrevan yeah he dad was extremely demanding and expected nothing less then perfection. it would probably constitute child abuse in todays standards, but then again if I am not mistaken that was the norm in Germany for hundreds of years.

Sep 4, 2010 - @AtashiwaChii and there's over 2 million on the first video!

Sep 4, 2010 - @don50don That's another sign of his prodigious skill, that he could still create beautiful music without hearing it- he still knew what it sounded like

Squatchylicious a dit :

Sep 4, 2010 - Beethoven and Schubert bring a little tear to my eye. I like the paintings chose of Beethoven; particularly the contrast between the first one in which he appears clean and handsome and the ones that follow in which he looks decidedly more mad.

Sep 4, 2010 - @xmasterrevan um i never said he was deaf but thats impressive if he was

xmasterrevan a dit :

Sep 2, 2010 - @Brielleh2o He wasn't completely deaf for all of his life and I'm pretty sure he had perfect pitch, meaning that every note was as distinct and memorable as a colour. Just as you could imagine 'blue', he could imagine what an A flat would sound like without any reference.

CircuitManiac a dit :

Sep 1, 2010 - @don50don he knows it so good he heard it in his head while he wrote it

PsychoticPukingFish a dit :

Aug 31, 2010 - @don50don Yes it's true Beethoven was deaf, the way he made such great masterpieces was by having someone play the music he had written down and putting his ear to the floor so he could "feel" the music, in a manner of speaking.
