Sep 4, 2010 - Beethoven and Schubert bring a little tear to my eye. I like the paintings chose of Beethoven; particularly the contrast between the first one in which he appears clean and handsome and the ones that follow in which he looks decidedly more mad.

Sep 2, 2010 - @Brielleh2o He wasn't completely deaf for all of his life and I'm pretty sure he had perfect pitch, meaning that every note was as distinct and memorable as a colour. Just as you could imagine 'blue', he could imagine what an A flat would sound like without any reference.

Aug 31, 2010 - @don50don Yes it's true Beethoven was deaf, the way he made such great masterpieces was by having someone play the music he had written down and putting his ear to the floor so he could "feel" the music, in a manner of speaking.
